How Do I Remove Stains from Travertine Floors?

What You'll Need
Baby powder
Hydrogen peroxide
Plastic wrap
Masking tape

Travertine floors can be a great design feature for your home, as long as they're not stained. You can remove stains from travertine floors by following these simple instructions.

Step 1- Create a Poultice

Start by a poultice out of things that you have around the house. Mix baby powder with hydrogen peroxide to make a paste. Apply the paste on top of the stain, and spread plastic wrap over the top of the paste.

Step 2 - Leave in Place

Tape it down with masking tape and leave in place for 24 hours. Then, remove the plastic and let the mixture dry. Once it is dry, you need to scrape it up. Whatever created the stain should now be absorbed into the mixture and out of your travertine floor.

By following these easy steps your travertine floors will look great in no time.
