With proper application, ceramic tile sealer should last about 1 to 2 years. If the area with the tile does not get much traffic, you might be able to go 3 or 4 years without applying a new coat. However, the combination of heavy traffic and chemicals in the cleaners that are commonly used on tile floors lowers the lifespan of most ceramic tile sealers. One way that you can test the floor is to add a few drops of water on the tile and grout. If the water absorbs into the tile or grout instead of beading up, it is time to apply a new coat of sealer.
