Ceramic tile flooring can last many years. In fact, the Romans used it for occupational reasons, and many of the tiles lasted centuries. The use and care of the ceramic tile floors in our homes will determine its life expectancy. To maintain it, be sure to clean up any liquid spills as soon as possible. Ceramic tile is waterproof if it is grouted and sealed, but the potential for stains will increase if it liquid is allowed to sit too long. Also, you will need to reseal and possibly re-grout when you start noticing frequent stains from regular use.
