A marble cutting board can be an expensive item to buy, so take care of it to preserve its usefulness and attractiveness. The marble cutting board is not a hard object to clean. Remember to clean it regularly to avoid the stains that could otherwise remain permanently on the marble cutting board. When cleaning your marble cutting board, you must never use a substance that will leave a toxic residue that may taint your food ingredients.

Step 1 - Make the Cleaning Solution

Create a mixture of warm water, distilled white vinegar and two teaspoons of liquid dish detergent into a spray bottle. The warm water is the base of your cleaning solution, the vinegar acts as a disinfectant and detergent as the cleaning agent for oil and grease.

Step 2 - Mix the Ingredients

Shake the spray bottle to mix the ingredients fully. The solution gets rid of the bacteria and cleans the surface of the marble cutting board at the same time.

Step 3 - Apply the Solution

Spray the solution directly onto the marble cutting board. Do not use a cloth to spread the solution. Let the solution stay onto the marble cutting board for a few minutes before wiping away with a damp sponge. The curing period will disinfect the marble cutting board from any bacteria. Remove any remaining residue or material on the marble cutting board.
