Take your coffee cup or thermos and rinse it with hot water, making sure any surface materials will wash away. Use a paper towel or cloth to wipe anything clean.

Step 2 - Clean Your Cup

Take your vinegar, whether you have white vinegar or cider vinegar, and pour it into the cup or thermos. Spin the cup around a bit so the vinegar coats the sides of the inside. Now, pour in the water. Use less than a half of a cup of water. Now, pour in the baking soda. Immediately cover the cup or thermos with a lid. The mixture will begin to bubble. Shake the cup or thermos for a minute or so to allow the mixture to coat the inside of the mug and clean every spot.

Step 3 - Wash It Out
