How to Cut Flooring Carpet Tiles

Step 3 - Write the Measurement Down

Make sure that the line is even and repeat the process down and across. By doing this you are cutting square tiles into the carpet. Press firmly down and make sure that the line pattern is smooth. Be sure to cut away from your hands and body and position yourself above the carpet. After you have repeated the cutting process for each tile you are ready to lay the tiles. If you are only replacing a single tile cut out the piece you want and save the rest.
