White baby cribs are often associated with girls. However, a white crib can be made more boyish by adding a few simple features. With a little bit of window shopping, you will be able to come up with some of your own ideas.
Step 1 – Choosing a Theme and Color
Look through catalogs, magazines and local baby shops for bedroom ideas for baby boys. Room décor designs in blue and green go well with the fresh color of white. Choose one of these colors to paint the bedroom walls. Choose another paint color to go with it.
Step 2 – Choosing Accessories
Choose a boyish theme for the crib. Nautical, sport and animals themes work well in boys' rooms. Find accessories in the same theme that can be attached to the crib. Be sure that any accessory you choose to attach to the crib frame is safely secured. Choose a mobile that matches the boyish theme you have chosen. The mobile can be attached to the crib or from the wall or ceiling. Once again, be sure that the mobile you choose is secured properly and meets the necessary safety requirements.
Step 3 - Bedding
Choose a crib bumper and sheet set that works with your theme. Add pillows and stuffed animals. For safety reasons, be sure to remove any of these items whenever a baby is actually in the crib.
