A marble shower is an expensive addition to your home but one that adds a lot of style and value to it. A marble shower is comprised of marble tiles adhered to a backing board and then sealed. The marble shower threshold sees a lot of wear and can become damaged. The following article will show you how to repair it.

Remove Damaged Tile

Use the putty knife and place it along the grout line of the damaged tiles of the marble shower threshold. Gently tap the putty knife with a hammer to remove the tile and the grout.

Clean the Site

Attach the sander to the rotary tool to remove any adhesive on the base of the marble threshold as well as the ground on the edge of the surrounding marble tiles. Wipe it down with a rag.

Cut Tiles

Measure the cleared area and transfer the measurements to the new tile. Score the tile with the cutter and then carefully snap it.

Installation

Apply mortar to the tile and place it on the marble threshold. Seal it with the grout and once dry wipe off the residue with a damp sponge.
