A tree stump in your yard can be an unsightly thing. This does not mean you have to look at it. There are solutions to help you hide a tree stump.
Step 1 – Select Your Herbs
Many herbs grow tall and have a very attractive appearance. The best part is there are some varieties which will grow in the same spot every year and even be hardy enough to last throughout the winter. Rosemary is a good example of a hardy herb you can plant.
Step 2 – Set Your Perimeter
In order to make your Herbs look planned rather than sporadic, install a raised edge around the stump. This will make it look like it has been an herb garden all along.
Step 3 – Plant Your Herbs
Use a trowel to dig up enough earth to accommodate the roots of the seedlings. This will usually be a couple of inches only. Loosely cover the root system up with the dirt you removed and give the plant some water. Do not tightly pack the soil as it will make it hard for the herb to grow.
