Installing a cabinet glass involves placing clips into the cabinet in order to hold the shelf in place. The clips are typically plastic knobs that are tack nailed into the side of the cabinet frame. They are more commonly rounded metal pins that can easily be pushed into pre-drilled holes that run along the interior of the cabinet.
Install Cabinet Glass Shelf
To install the cabinet glass shelf properly, determine the proper height that you want for the items that will be placed on the shelf. Once you determine where you want to place the cabinet glass shelf, push the small metal rods into the pre-drilled holes. The pins are easy to insert and do not require a lot of pressure to set. Once in place (2 on each side where the cabinet glass shelf will be placed) slide the cabinet glass shelf, allowing it to rest on the pins.
Check the Cabinet Glass Shelf
Make sure that the cabinet glass shelf sits level inside the cabinet and does not bounce or make noise when you touch the top of it. If this happens, one of the pins may be not properly set – this can easily be addressed by removing the shelf and reinserting the pin. You can now place your items on the newly installed shelf.
