When you are going to install oak veneer sheets, you want to make sure you get the most information that you can before you install it. This allows you to save money when you are installing the wall yourself, and also you will know that it is getting done by someone you trust since you are the one doing it. Find out how easy it is to put a wall up, and also make sure it is put up the right way today.

Step 1: The Beginning

When you want to start the process, you should make sure that you have all of the materials and tools needed on hand before you begin so you don't have to keep going back and forth when you are trying to keep the veneer up. You will want to mix the mixture of mortar and thin sheet mix with the water. This allows you to make the perfect mix, if it comes out too runny you are able to add a little sand in the mixture, and if it comes out too thick then you can place some water within the mixture to give it more of a runny thickness.

Step 2: Starting the Process

When you start, you want to make sure you place a thin cover over the wall. You do not want to make it too thin or smooth. If you find that the mixture went onto the wall too smooth then you should use a rake to go over it to give it more texture. This can be simple, and also allows you to stick the veneer on your wall of choice. Once the wall is covered with the mixture, then you can go over the wall with a spray bottle of water to keep it damp. You are then going to want to start placing the veneer on.

Step 3: Finishing Up

Start from one side going towards the other. You should place some of the mortar mix on the back of the oak veneer, and place it firmly on to the area you choose to start with. You are able to wiggle the veneer lightly to make sure it locks into place. Then you can continue going down the wall placing the veneers in the same manner. Make sure the mix is not placed on the veneer too much; you only want a light layering on the back on the veneer. This can be a simple job, and all you have to do is make sure the veneers are placed on firmly and straight. What could be better than getting the job done yourself, and not having to pay someone else to do it for you? Once you finish all of these steps then you are able to let it dry, and enjoy the wall once it is finished. Make sure to remove the excess mix from in between the veneers.
