If you are trying to fit wood countertops in your kitchen or workroom, then you may be wondering how to get the perfect join on your tops. Wood countertops need to be worked on in order to get the best fit for your design, so you will need to make a good angle in order to ensure that they fit together perfectly.

Make the Angles

If you want to make the wood countertops fit correctly, you will need to use your set square then you can get the two sides of your countertop cut to the same angle. Once you have cut the side on one-half of your countertops, you should then measure the same angle on your other. Put them together, and then use your saw to make both sides of the angle fit together without leaving a seam.

Fit the Countertops

When you have cut the countertops at the correct angles, you will then need to put the countertop above the bases you'll use to support them. Slide the two countertops towards each other, and then use a temporary screw to hold them in place. Apply a layer of glue, and leave it to dry. When the glue is dry, remove the screw and fix the countertops to the bases.
