Baking soda
Toilet brush
Can of cola

Your toilet bowl can look clean, but sometimes not smell fresh. Here is an easy way to keep it fresh between regular cleanings with just a few supplies you probably already have on hand.

Step 1 - Pour in the Cola

You will simply need to pour a can of cola in your toilet. Use your toilet brush to get the cola on the bowl above the water line. Be sure to get under the rim too. Close the lid and allow it to sit for at least one hour, then flush. The acidity in the cola will remove any stains and neutralize odors. You will not need to brush again. Flushing will do the trick.

Step 2 - Maintenance

Keep baking soda in your bathroom. Once a day sprinkle a little into the bowl and allow it to sit until the next use. It balances the pH in the toilet and also helps to keep it running smoothly. Keeping the pH level at the correct levels will also keep stains from sticking to the inside of your bowl, especially at the water line, which will also make for easier for thorough regular cleanings.
