What You'll Need

Painting RV cabinets can be a fun adventure for the entire family. Keeping these cabinets looking brand new and sparkling will add a grand statement to the motorhome.

Step 1 - Cabinets

Take down the RV cabinets if they can be unscrewed. This will make the paint job easier if they can be unscrewed. After this, the cabinets can be cleaned off with hot water which has been soaked into a cloth. Ammonia can also be used to give the cabinets a good cleaning. After this the cabinets can be sandpapered to get rid of tough areas before the paint job.

Step 2 - Covering

Use the newspaper to cover areas on the floor to prevent paint spills. Old blankets or sheets can also be used to cover the floor if there are no newspapers available. Take caution to do this step.

Step 3 - Painting

Lay the cabinets down onto the newspapers after they have dried and begin to spray the primer onto them. If the cabinets cannot be disconnected the paint job will occur at their currrent location. When the primer has dried the new paint will be sprayed on and the job is complete giving a new look to the cabinets.
