Whenever you are working with Sabre saw blades you will want to make sure that you know how to keep them good and sharp. Having dull saw blades could result in poorly-cut material as well as additional work on you and your saw’s behalf.
Step 1 – Prepare Saw
The first thing that you are going to have to do is get your saw blade clamped in the table clamp. Make sure that the saw is secure in the clamp so that there are not going to be any issues with it coming loose. You are then ready to get your saw file put against the front edge of your Sabre saw tooth.
Step 2 – Sharpen Saw
You are then ready to get your saw filed between each of the teeth. Make sure that you hold it down at an angle of about 70 degrees. It is always a good idea to start at the handle. A stroke square needs to then be made across the saw tooth using the file. Repeat as needed.
Step 3 – Proper Care
Whenever you are not using your saw, it is a good idea to take the blade off and put it in a case.
