If I Glue Cork to Glass Will the Glass Be Damaged?

cork on glass

People will sometimes glue cork to glass to further soundproof a room, add a unique look, or improve the thermal insulation. In order to properly apply cork to any surface, it is best to use liquid cement.

Liquid Cement

The liquid cement itself, and the cork being attached to the glass by liquid cement, will not ruin the glass. What would ruin a glass surface or a window in terms of gluing cork would be trying to remove the cork and the glue from the glass.

Liquid cement is extremely strong. It is unlikely that you would be able to remove it from a glass surface or a window without causing damage to the glass.
