Installing a Kitchen Faucet Soap Dispenser
Adding a kitchen faucet soap dispenser to your kitchen sink area will make washing your hands a breeze. You can purchase a soap dispenser kit at a hardware or big box department store.
Where to Place Your Soap Dispenser
If you don’t have a sprayer attachment next to your faucet, you will be able to pop off the cover for where the sprayer should go and use that for the kitchen faucet soap dispenser.
If you have a sprayer, or there isn’t room for one, then you will need to cut out a hole for the soap dispenser. Depending on what the material from which your kitchen sink is made, you may be able to do this yourself.
Follow the instructi ons provided with the soap dispenser kit. Attach the ring that the pump will sit on over the hole in your countertop or sink. Make sure that you center it before attaching with the included double-sided tape or plumber’s putty.
The Soap Holder
Once again, following the directions to screw the plastic soap bottle up into the hole from underneath the kitchen sink. Fill the soap bottle ¾ of the way with soap.
The Pump Tube
Set the pump on top of the ring, making sure that the attached tubing threads through the ring into the bottle holding the soap. Secure according to the directions, and pump to test your new soap dispenser.
