Octagon Windows

Octagon windows are defined as specialty windows and are often used in the design of high-end homes to achieve a classical look.

These windows are found in either fixed or vented models, most are available with leaded glass. Most octagon windows have wood frames that allow for a stain finish that matches existing woodwork.

Octagon windows vary in size from 20 inches to 30 inches and are generally used by design professionals to provide accent lighting.  When located properly, the leaded glass in these windows produces natural light and shadow patterns throughout a room.  Architects use octagon windows to create unique window layouts that elevate the overall design of a house.

Specialty windows, such as half-round, gothic, oval, and octagon windows offer many advantages but are rather expensive.  Depending on a number of variables, these windows can range in price from several hundred dollars, to several thousand dollars.
