Removing bronzer makeup can be a tough job if you don't know how to get it out. Here are some of the best ways to remove bronzer from clothing, carpet, and your bathroom towels.

Step 1 - Vacuum it Up

One of the best ways to get bronzer off a surface is to first vacuum up any loose particles. If it's a shirt, take it off and start the process right away. Then, fill your sink with very cold water, dump your clothing or towels in, and rub the bronzed spot back and forth between your hands. Toss it in the washer, and run it through like normal. Make sure the stain is removed before placing items in the dryer or the stain will set.

Obviously you can't throw your carpet in the filled sink and likely not in the washing machine either. In this case, dab the carpet repeatedly with cold water. Let it soak and continue to dab. If water alone doesn’t do the job, try a professional carpet cleaning solution.

Step 2 - WD-40

You can also try using WD-40 or another kind of lubricant. Simply spray it on the area, and let it sit for a bit. Let it soak into the object you're working on, then dab it very lightly with a white towel until the stain is gone.

Step 3 - Dish Soap

If the above two methods did not work, you can try good old dish soap. You will want to make sure you are using a dish soap with a good de-greasing agent in it, such as the brand name Dawn.

Apply the dish soap to the spot, rub the soap into whatever object you are working on at that time, and give it a good washing. Again, if you are working on your carpet, you can soak the area with soapy warm water, and work on it that way. Just be sure not to saturate the flooring.
