Dog shoes are a nifty invention that help protect your dog again the cold snow and hot pavement, along with other harsh weather and terrain conditions. It is important to make sure that the dog shoe you choose for your dog is the correct size. Shoes that are too small will be uncomfortable and shoes that are too large can slip off.

Size 1 and 2

This shoe size should fit dogs up to two and half pounds including Teacups and Chihuahuas.

Size 3

Five to ten pound dogs will fit this size of shoe. These dogs include but are not limited to: toy dogs, Yorkshire Terriers, Maltese, and Pomeranian.

Size 4

This size shoe should fit dogs weighing ten to fifteen pounds such as: Poodles, Pugs, and Westies.

Size 5

This shoe size fits dogs from fifteen to twenty pounds such as: the Miniature Schnauzer, Pekingese, and Shih Tzu.

Size 6

Cocker spaniels and other dogs weighing twenty to thirty pounds should fit this shoe size.

Size 7

The Chow Chow should fit this size of dog shoe which is meant for dogs from thirty to forty pounds.

Size 8

This shoe size fits dogs from forty to fifty pounds such as the Bulldog.

Size 9

Fitting dogs from fifty to seventy pounds, this dog shoe size should fit dogs such as the Golden Retriever and German Shepherd.

Size 10

This dog shoe size is meant for dogs over seventy pounds including Siberian Huskies and Labradors.
