Presenting LOOK: A better way for designers and retailers to do business

Last week we saw the launch of Look (, an online wholesale marketplace for modern furniture with unique design. Look aims to streamline the process for both designers and retailers by acting as a link. Utilizing a user-friendly search interface, Look allows retailers to customize their shopping experience based on their design preferences. Along with increased brand exposure, designers enjoy the benefit of a streamlined integration process as well as assistance from Look’s merchandizing team. This allows more focus on work and not the day to day upkeep of an online presence. “With at least 100 designers and counting, Look is constantly seeking to add innovative brands to its roster and help deserving creatives launch their products.”

Fifth Annual Fix a Leak Week

The EPA marks March 18-24 as annual Fix a Leak Week. Studies show 1 in every 10 homes has a leak that wastes at least 90 gallons of water per day. The EPA’s WaterSense program aims to promote the awareness of leaky plumbing and encourages Americans to be proactive in their maintenance. Not only is this helping to save 10,000 gallons of water per year, but it is also cutting back an average of 10 percent on utility bills. “We’re not just wasting water; families also lose money from leaks with higher utility bills. That’s why Fix a Leak Week is so important, and why we encourage everyone to take a few simple steps that add up to make a significant positive impact,” said EPA Acting Administrator for the Office of Water Nancy Stoner.
