Video Door Entry System Installation
A video door entry system is a must in the modern era where theft and burglary are everyday news. These systems are easily available at affordable costs and are easy to install. There are few things you need to keep in mind while installing these door entry systems.
1. Find a Shaded Area
The lens and camera of the video door entry system should be well-protected from heat and sunlight so they do not get overheated. Also, make sure no form of direct light hits the lens directly. You will need to find a place that has enough shade.
2. Consider the Lighting
Keep in mind, the purpose of using this door entry system is to get a clear picture of who is at the door. Hence, make sure the lighting in front of the camera of the unit is apt for this purpose. If you feel that lighting is insufficient, either change the place of the camera or add another light.
3. Careful with Power Supplies
When installing the video door entry system, make sure the power supply for this is different from that for the main house. Ensure that the electrical wiring is properly grounded to prevent short circuits. Do not hesitate to refer to the manual provided in case of any doubt. Remember, it is better to be safe than sorry.
4. While Mounting
While mounting this system, make sure there is enough support to hold it in place. In the absence of sufficient support, there are chances of the system slipping and causing damage to the lens and the camera. Also, do not forget to use a weather proof shield to protect all the parts of the video door entry system and the electrical wiring.
