Vinyl window wrap is something that most contractors and home improvement centers will add to replacement windows. This window wrap is not a must have for a replacement window, but does give the window a more finished look. If your budget does not allow for immediate wrapping, it can be done after the window is installed. Maintaining your window wrap is done much like maintaining vinyl siding.
Easy To Maintain
Vinyl window wrap is popular today because of the ease of maintenance. Cleaning with water will keep most of the dirt and grime from setting and discoloring the vinyl.
For spring cleaning, or after summer cleaning, you can maintain the cleanliness of your window wrap by scrubbing with a warm water and mild detergent solution. When scrubbing do not use a brush unless it has soft bristles. You can also use a sponge and do not be too conservative with the soapy water.
Keep Free of any Seasonal Clutter
Fall is still a time to continue maintaining your vinyl wrapped windows. Keep clean of any leaves, sap, bird droppings, or other forms of debris. During the winter season does not mean you get to take time away from maintaining your window wrap. Periodically check for any ice or snow that may be in any cracks or hanging onto the side. Clean away to keep cracks from forming.
