Brazilian walnut hardwood is easy to clean and maintain. It contains natural oils that repel insects and mold and also helps it to be resistant to scratches. To clean Brazilian walnut, vacuum regularly, and then mop with a damp mop only. You will not want to get it too wet or you may get permanent water spots.
If you want to keep the wood grain bright, you will need to apply teak oil at least once a year depending on the foot traffic. To know when to apply, pay attention to the wood as you mop. If you can see water spots rather than beading, the water is starting to seep down into the wood and is ready for a new layer of oil finish.
